Rescued Pups Rescuing People (RPRP)

We work with local rescue organizations, and we also rescue dogs from the community or from any shelter where they have no time left to stay. For dogs we rescue directly, we take care of each dog's needs, from vet visits, shots, health checks, food, shelter, and more, to giving them their own special bed.

While the pups are waiting to go back home or to find their new home, we take them to visit people who may enjoy and emotionally benefit from a visit with a dog but who cannot take care of a dog on their own.

We visit with you where you live ... whether it's in your own home, a group home, or other living space. Rescued Pups Rescuing People visits people in a nursing home, veterans, shut-ins, or anyone who may want a temporary, RPRP-chaperoned visit with their dog or a trained therapy visiting dog.

ABOUT US

We are dog lovers and we care about the people in our community who spend time alone and may be lonely, or anyone who would feel happy to have a visit with a dog (accompanied by an RPRP person).

A wagging tail on a wiggly, sweet dog can do wonders for improving a person's mood, not to mention be a fun and enjoyable experience! When your mood is good, there are many benefits that follow along.

Our Mission is to help people in our community by rescuing dogs and then bringing the dogs to "rescue" sad, lonely, or afflicted people who, if they get the chance to visit with a dog, will feel happier, better, and less likely to have feelings of anxiety or other negative conditions. Happiness helps improve physical, mental, and emotional health.
